KIAN KAIALOA'S BIOGRAPHY
I grew up in Napa Valley, surrounded by an environment where craftsmanship, atmosphere, and experience mattered as much as the product itself. From vineyards and fashion to art-driven events, I was exposed early to spaces and brands that valued storytelling, intention, and quality design. That foundation shaped how I see visual identity, not as a decoration, but as an experience.
My interest in design developed through hands-on work with local luxury boutiques, where I collaborated on creative projects spanning photography, campaign design, and visual direction. One early project included producing a summer campaign for State & First, where I led the modeling, photography, and poster design. These experiences confirmed my focus on brand design and fashion-led expression.
Currently, I am pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University, where I was awarded the Presidential Scholarship. Through my academic work and professional practice, I continue to refine a design approach rooted in clarity, restraint, and narrative, creating visual systems that feel elevated, timeless, and distinctly personal.
